Horizon Motion

Privacy with sunlight

Privacy Manifest

We keep it light—your data stays yours.

Horizon Motion is built to brighten your browsing without dimming your privacy. Here is how we handle information inside the Chrome extension.

What we collect

Only what the extension needs.

  • Preference settings you choose inside the extension (stored locally in Chrome storage).
  • Lightweight state to keep nudges and focus bubbles synced across tabs.

What we avoid

No sneaky collection.

  • No browsing history siphoning.
  • No ad trackers or fingerprinting.
  • No sale or sharing of personal data—ever.
🔒

Storage & retention

Local-first by default.

Your settings (tempo, focus preferences, toggles) live in Chrome’s local storage. Remove the extension, and the settings go with it.

Retention

Only while the extension is installed.

Sync

If Chrome sync is on, preferences stay within your Google account, not on our servers.

Control

Reset in one click from the extension’s settings.

Permissions

Requested with intention.

We ask Chrome only for the access required to deliver gentle nudges and clean overlays.

Active tab

Used to display focus bubbles and contextual cues on the page you are viewing.

Storage

Used to save your preferences locally (and via Chrome sync if you enable it).

If we ever add a permission, we will call it out here and in the extension changelog.

Data flow

Where information goes (and doesn’t).

On your device

Preferences, tempo, and toggle states live locally in Chrome.

Across your Chrome

If sync is on, settings follow your signed-in Chrome profile only.

Never sent

We do not ship personal data, browsing history, or analytics to external servers.

Changes

Staying transparent.

If we evolve Horizon Motion or adjust this policy, we will update this page with a clear summary of what changed and why—before the update ships.
